New Hair, New Combos

Somehow I managed to sleep in until almost 8 this morning. That’s practically a miracle. I am such a morning person and usually wake up without an alarm before 6:00 am and pop immediately out of bed.

Once I was up, I realized I had no milk for Oatmeal so I made a quick dash to Publix. I was definitely in a an oatmeal mood!! I NEEDED IT!!

When I returned, I made Cranberry Vanilla Crunch Oatmeal!

My Oats contained:

  • 1/2 cup Oats
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Toppings:

  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • craisins
  • walnuts
  • peacans

Great combination!! I then pretty much got ready for my hair appointment. Per your request, new hair pictures!

It’s not all that much different, she only took about 2 inches off the length. She did add more layers to the back, thinned it out a bit, and cleaned up my bangs (but kept them long).  I like it though, it has more shape to it now.

When I got back from my hair cut, it was 1:30 and I was STARVING! I wanted a grilled cheese but I couldn’t thaw the bread fast enough (we keep it in the freezer to make it last longer). Instead, I used a Flat Out wrap and added 1/2 a zucchini:

Served with a side salad of spinach and grape tomatoes.

Holy Yum!! The cheese and zucchini was an amazing combo that I definitely want to repeat!

Alright, my kitchen is a MESS! I now have Jason’s mess from the week, dinner dishes, breakfast dishes, and lunch dishes. I don’t think It has been this messy EVER. Off to clean!

Give and Take

Good morning! I’m sorry I didn’t post last night… between driving 100 miles to Orlando and watching Jason’s late night hockey game I was exhausted by the time I got home !

One of my favorite things about my relationship with Jason is that we both support each other 100%! Remember last weekend? Jason sat through the three hour triathlon relay and played photographer? Last night was my turn!

It was freezing in there! I had on a long sleeve shirt and a sweatshirt but it was still chilly! It must feel good to the players, though!

Jason scored one of only two goals for his team and I even saw him fall on his bum a couple times (hehehe!) 😀 Too bad I couldn’t get a picture of that!

Yay, Jason! I love you!

Before I left for Orlando I had two handfuls of almonds:

And a green smoothie to go! It was REALLY hard to drink out of this LOL. Contained the basic spinach, banana, ice, milk, flax, amazing grass.

I stopped at Publix to pick up something for myself for dinner, and in the mean time munched on this little sample: Zucchini pasta and honey salmon! Both were delicious!

Cous-cous was buy one get one free, so I went ahead and got that and added my own stuff in at home:

My dinner included:

  • 1 cup cous-cous (cooked in vegetable broth instead of water)
  • 1/2 cup chickpeas
  • 6 stalks steamed aspargus, cut into spears
  • added in: mushrooms, garlic, lemon juice, green onion, chives

It was really flavorful in my opinion, but Jason didn’t think so. 😦

We then headed off to the hockey game, where I snuck in a Dove chocolate for dessert!

Like I said, after the game I came home and crashed. I don’t even think I brushed my teeth (eeeeew!)

Alrighty, now I’m starving. Off to have breakfast and then go get my haircut 😀 Can’t wait to see what you all think!
