No Schedule

My night class was cancelled tonight… so I have nothing time structured to do today. I still have a lot I need to get done, but no where to actually go at a certain time.

I am MUCH more productive when I feel like I have to get things done by a certain time. In all honesty, the only thing I’ve gotten done today is eating and about 5 homework problems.

Around 10:00 am I got bored and wandered into the kitchen. I made myself an orange, but I wasn’t even hungry. I usually don’t have the time to boredom snack, so It was sort of weird.

I even arranged it nicely on the plate for the blog! 😀


I picked a few of these up at Whole Foods the other day, and I swear they are the best oranges I’ve ever had!

For lunch, I heated up some leftovers:


Stir-fried tofu, brown rice, and sugar snap peas.


Easy and delicious!

I need to figure out some sort of schedule to keep me on track for the rest of the day. I don’t need to be wasting precious study time doing nothing!

Any suggestions for time management?

  2. You and Caitlin had similar lunches today. 🙂

    Since I have zero defined time deadlines in my life currently, I have a couple suggestions. Write out a schedule. Like if you know that you need to work on homework for 3 classes, study for an exam, blog, and go to the gym, then make a timeframe for your day. If you’re supposed to be done with free-time/ blog-time by 2:30, then be done and move on to the next thing. Same with homework – even if you haven’t gotten it all done yet, set it aside, take a stretch break, go to the gym, come back and get back to it.

  3. Lindsey beat me too it, but I was going to say the same thing, you and Caitlin are lunch twins 🙂

    I would start with a list of what you need to do. For some reason, lists always get me into the right mindset. Then schedule small little breaks- take a short walk, make a snack, read blogs :).

    I have a tough time too. Unless I am super busy, I lack any and all motivation. Not good!

    I can’t wait to read how the afternoon went!

  4. Oh, I totally understand where you’re coming from. I very much NEED structure in order to be productive!

    I’m looking forward to seeing some time management tips, lol!

  5. I have a print out of the hours from when I wake up to when I go to sleep (similar to what Lindsay said) and I write 5-6 work out 6-6:30 shower.. I time out everything down to showering.. otherwise I would be on facebook all day hehe
