Break for Breakfast

I spent the majority of the day yesterday studying for finals. I have two left, both tomorrow!


My desk is always a disaster zone during finals week.




I definitely ate ALL my meals here yesterday, including my everything and anything in the fridge salad.




My bum would have been permanently affixed to the desk chair had it not been for last night’s run. Oh, and that 11pm trip to Cold Stone Creamery (ice cream store). Birthday cake remix, anyone!?


This morning, I woke up bright and early (6:00am) to finish my steel project. I’m about 95% done!


Two hours into working, my stomach would not shut up. It was growling out of control and I knew that had to be silenced. I had a filling and stabilizing breakfast. Oatmeal, how I’ve missed you!




My oatmeal included:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vanilla soymilk
  • 1 TBL ground flax
  • 1 TBL coconut
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • frozen strawberries (thawed)




I love feeling like I’ve accomplished something before 8:00am. 😀


Off to get in a bike ride, and then it’s back to the books!
