Something about a mom’s hug makes everything better.
Late on Thursday night, I called my mom and told her that I was going to come to visit her in North Carolina for the long weekend.
When things are going wrong, nothing seems better than going home — even when that requires 10 hours of solitary driving.
Peace and quiet.
I slept like a rock last night for the first time in… I’m not sure how long! When mom came in to woke me up from my slumber, I was curled up in a cocoon.
Eventually, I moseyed downstairs for breakfast. I had a bowl of oatmeal, banana, and strawberries.
❤
I lounged around in pajamas for most of the morning until we ran some errands. We met my little sister, Brielle, on her lunch break from work.
We had lunch at Elizabeth’s Italian Restaurant, which is within walking distance of her new job.
My mom and I split a veggie pizza, which was topped with cheese, onion, green pepper, eggplant, tomato, mushroom, and broccoli. YUM!
I wish I could have lunch with my mom (and Bri) more often!
Enough computer time, my family is waiting!
