Layers and Dr. Pepper

This evening was spent packing for New Jersey!

I talked to BFF Debbie about what to pack, and she suggested packing layers.

 

What are layers exactly??

 

In Florida… “layering” your clothing means a cover up over your bathing suit:

So… do I simply throw on my coat and scarf over regular clothes?

Winter clothing seems so mysterious….

 

My winter wardrobe is old. Think: Circa 1999.

I did manage to scrounge up a few things, but I’m planning on raiding Deb’s closet once I get there!

 

Eats and Such…

During class, I snacked on the other 3/4 of my CLIF bar leftover from this morning.

Jason worked late, so we met for dinner at Chipotle. 😀

 

I got the vegetarian salad, which by the way is amaaazing!!

…my salad included:

  • romaine lettuce
  • tomato salsa
  • fajita veggies (peppers and onions)
  • tomato salsa
  • black beans (like… 3 servings)
  • cheese
  • guacamole

 

I also ate about 1/4 of Jason’s chips. They were slightly lime tasting, which made them even more addicting!

Not so healthy…

Oh yes, I also drank a bottle of Dr. Pepper this afternoon to stay awake in class. Not diet, the real stuff. I hate diet soda!! SO bad for you, and tastes like barf.

I drank all 250 calories of it, and it was worth it! YUM… (

 

It was cheap, convenient, and delicious. I actually LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Pepper. While I know that it is not at all healthy, I think of it as a treat, as I would dessert. It’s been YEARS since I’ve had soda, and I do not feel bad about it in the slightest. 

 

I shall call it my reward for taking 12 days of running, and coming back with a bang. 😀

 

I really should get to bed, I have to be up in 5.5 hours to get to my flight!! YIKES! I
