Two-A-Day

I’m getting excited! I’m racing again this weekend!!

 

Miracle Miles 15k and 5k are this Saturday, and I know it’s going to be a blast!

I have never run a 15k race before, but I think it’s going to be really fun. I will PR no matter what my time! 😉

 

Jason called me around lunch time today to ask me if I would run 3.0 miles with him tonight to practice for this Saturday! (he’s running the 5k!) Of course I said yes, even though I already ran 2.0 miles this morning.

Before our run, I had a Kashi Pumpkin Pie bar:

Didn’t hurt my tummy! Yay!

I tried to cram a whole bunch of veggies into dinner, so I made black bean veggie burgers.. (I ate 1.5- so good!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup black beans
  • 1 egg
  • bread crumbs
  • onion
  • broccoli
  • scoop of brown rice
  • paprika
  • garlic salt

I blended them together in the blender and hit “pulse” a few times to break everything up. Then, I separated them into four patties and heated them in a pan! They were quick and easy!

Time to catch up on the Biggest Loser!

I feel like I got so much exercise today because I did a two-a-day, but on the Biggest Loser, I feel like they work out 24/7!!! How do they do it?!

  1. I always feel like the go non-stop on the biggest loser! I don’t get it, especially because they are all pretty new to fitness (and eating kind of boring foods)..

  3. Good luck! I quite often have 2-a-days, and they’re fine when you have plenty of time, but can be really exhausting when you don’t!

  4. They literally have nothing to do but eat and workout. No tv, no books… I think I would be working out all the time too!

  5. I honestly don’t know how they do it on TBL. This season they are mentioning calories in vs. out a lot more, and I think they said they eat 1,200 and burn 6,000 a day! No wonder they have such HUGE weight losses!! I found myself thinking about disordered eating after the show last night and wonder if any of them develop exercise obsessions/disordered eating after leaving (aka thinking they have to keep up that intense exercise).

  8. I read somewhere once that the Biggest Loser contestants work out between 6 and 7 hours each day. I can’t even imagine!

    Oh and the Biggest Loser is the best show eva! Every time I watch that show, the next day in the gym I feel so inspired, I’m practically screaming bloody murder on the weight machines lol

    Seriously if I were there with those trainers and the time on my hands and acces to all that they have…I’d probably want to work out all day too! Well maybe not alllll day! lol

  13. How do you make your Sweet Potato Fries? Mine never come out crispy like frieds……=(

    They don’t work on BL, all they do is work out all day, that is there job………I wish I could of done that while I was losing my 100+ pounds……..it wouldn’t of taken me 4+ years to do then! =O

  14. Amanda – one of the contestants did suffer form disordered eating after winning. I think it was season two, the winner was a female from Alaska I believe. She basically starved herself before the final show to stay thin. Last season’s winner was waaay too think in my opinion.
    I get tired after and hour of working out, and I’m in pretty good shape!

    Love the huge ketchup blob, I love me some ketchup…I use so much I put it on an extra plate. Gross right?!
